Website policy
Terms of Use
These terms explain what PutyTa provides and how its free guides and optional questions are intended to be used.
Website purpose
PutyTa is an independent educational website about SSH, PuTTY, Windows SSH, keys, and remote connection problems. Its purpose is to help you learn and apply those subjects. It is not an official PuTTY website, download service, or support center.
Educational materials
The guides are free to read. They include explanations, examples, and steps for common Windows and Linux SSH tasks. Examples use illustrative names and addresses. They are not login details for a real system.
Responsible and authorized use
Use the information only with computers and accounts you are allowed to access. Check the hostname, port, username, and host-key fingerprint with the person responsible for the computer. Read a command before you run it, keep passwords and private keys private, and follow the rules that apply to your network or organization.
Technical information
Software versions, Windows settings, and server rules differ. A guide can explain a normal process, but it cannot know the policy for every computer. Follow the administrator’s instructions when they differ from an example. PutyTa aims to keep the guides accurate, but it cannot promise that every instruction will fit every environment or produce a particular result.
Third-party software and brand identity
PuTTY is third-party software. PutyTa is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with the developers of PuTTY. References do not mean that PutyTa owns, distributes, or supports that software. Use the official project’s current download page and license before installing it.
Intellectual property
You may read the public pages and link to them for personal learning. Please do not copy the site’s wording, design, or name in a way that suggests you wrote the guides or that PutyTa created, sponsors, or officially supports PuTTY.
External resources
Links to other websites are provided for reference. PutyTa does not control those websites or their software, policies, or availability. The owner of the destination is responsible for its content.
Requests for additional guidance
The contact form is optional. It lets you ask about SSH, PuTTY, authentication keys, Windows SSH, or a remote connection. The guides are free to read. Sending a question does not create a service agreement or certification. PutyTa responds to every inquiry, but a response does not guarantee that the technical problem will be resolved, and no response time is promised. This page does not state whether further individual guidance is free or paid. Do not send passwords, private keys, or recovery codes. PutyTa does not provide emergency administration of your server.
Website availability
Pages may be updated, corrected, or temporarily unavailable while the site is maintained. PutyTa does not promise uninterrupted access.
Changes to the website and these terms
Guides and these terms may change as software and the website change. The date below identifies the current terms. Continued use of the public pages follows the version published here.
